Case note: treasury portal diligence

A mid-size Korean subsidiary needed to approve a cloud treasury portal requested by regional HQ. Two auditors from the Diligence Studio cohort rebuilt the access map, sampled user-provisioning evidence, and documented that “read-only” roles could still export full payment files.

Outcome: conditional approval with compensating monitoring for 90 days, then a re-test. The team credits the Studio’s module on evidence over assurances for refusing a glossy SOC summary as sufficient.

Case note: expense tool expansion

An Assurance Cohort of six standardized intake questions across three entities. Before the cohort, each entity asked different things; after, a single finance-system vendor packet reduced duplicate vendor work and made group audit sampling feasible.

Limitation recorded by the client: translating templates into Korean for local approvers still took two internal workshops — our program materials are English-first.
